In March 2008, our station employment unit participated in a “Career Day” hosted by Charles R. Drew Middle School on the school’s campus in Lincoln, Alabama.Station representatives introduced middle school students to career opportunities in broadcasting.Station participants included our Promotions Manager and a member of our Advertising Sales Department.

In April 2008, our station employment unit participated in Williams Intermediate School’s Job Introduction Seminar on the school’s campus in Pell City, Alabama.Station representatives introduced 5th and 6th grade students to career opportunities in broadcasting.Station participants included our Promotions Manager and News Director.

In May 2008, our station employment unit participated in a Career Day at Cleburne County Middle School in Heflin, Alabama.Station representatives informed students and other members of the public about career opportunities in broadcasting.Station participants included our Promotions Manager and General Sales Manager.

In September 2008, the WTDR(FM) and WANA(AM) Sales Department hosted a booth during this public event held to promote severe weather awareness in our local Mall in Oxford, Alabama and to expose the public to career opportunities in Radio Media Sales.The event was attended by several members of the station Sales Department and the General Sales Manager.

Internship Program
During this reporting period, we continued the fostering of our internship program with Jacksonville State University, coordinating with its Director of Internships.During the Spring semester, our Promotions Manager participated in a project to aid students enrolled in the communications curriculum to write job descriptions for various positions within a radio station for class credits.
